Secret Recipe

Even though FPB is a fledgling brewery, we feel confident that we're on the cutting edge of the most delicious flavors and innovative tastes. Here is a sneak peak into the mystery behind the greatness...

First, we start with the freshest ingredients, mostly from our local brew supply store, but often straight from the Brew Garden...

Then we add the ingredients into a pot and cook them for a while...

Then Brew Master Skye checks on the pot a lot - we're not really sure what he does, but he says it's important.

When the special ingredients are done cooking, we pour the not-yet-delicious wort into a very technical brew storage unit. You lay-people refer to it as a "bucket."

It is imporant to strain out all of the stuff that doesn't want to become beer.

A lot of supervision is usually required to make the brew process go smoothly.
Also lots of beer love...

After we can't wait any longer, usually a few weeks, it's time to bottle the almost-beer.

Everyone loves washing the bottles!

I swear we didn't really use this as our X-mas tree this year. Seriously...

And in the end... cold, deliscious FPB beer - CHEERS!

Son of a Fitch

Son of a Fitch is on the scene!

That's right - the family friendly Forbidden Peak Brewery sponsored "Son of a Fitch's First Super Bowl", not 4 days after birthday #0. It was a disapointing loss for Tom Brady, but a tremendously successful day for Baby Brady, who spent the day sleeping, drinking mom's milk, and getting attention from the Brew Crew. Nice FPB gear Sara and Brady - and look for your own cool gear available on http://www.forbiddenbeer.com/ coming soon...

Here is Son of a Fitch matching
wits with his first boot.

when mixing babies and beer.

Son of a Fitch- Release Party

Saturday February 23rd, 2008

The Forbidden Peak Brewery staff, friends, & family gathered at the brewery for the greatly anticipated "Son of a Fitch" (Belgian White) release. The man of the hour- Mr. Brady Fitch stole the show in his FPB logo wear. The "baby keg" was downed with amazing quickness. The proud parents gave the brew crew two thumbs up and rated the beer as a 9 out of 10. Only 21 years until little Brady can try the beer that was named after him.

Also released was the "First Ascent Pale Ale". First Ascent was also well received and was described as having a slightly fruity flavor, with an avalanche of hops. Party goers rated the beer an 8 out of 10, but then again this wasn't the beer of the hour.
All in all, the party was a great success. Stay tuned for the latest news on the brewery and our next event- St. Patrick's Day at the Brewery, where we will be releasing the much anticipated Vanilla Stout, Red Storm, and the Celtic Cider.
